What if …

… would anyone believe? I am skeptical about this kind of “faith”.

If God is revealing himself through this kind of empirical evidence (who can stand in His presence as a judge?), then we can easily accuse Him that He is a monster without love, a cynical deity who is testing our patience and is playing with our mind. In fact, we have enough reasons to reject everything doesn’t comply our desires. And let’s be frankly: God is an uncomfortable “hypothesis”… God in the dock is more convenient for us! He is expecting from us honesty and repentance of our sins/mistakes, dependency, willing to forgive, consideration for others instead of ourselves, genuine joy, patience, etc. Those are exactly the opposite of the values promoted in our society. The more human subject is immersed in this culture, the less resistance to the cultural pressures he manifest. And we call this manipulative behaviour “emancipation”!

I really think that any kind of logical/scientifically argument for God’s existence is proclaimed in vain if is not considered the “perathological” and “holiness of God arguments”. Until we cannot see our limits, we cannot accept the necessity of limitless person of God. The education and the culture that surround us encourage to think/believe about ourselves that we are the most smartest, beautiful and the most moral beings.  If we are the most „honorable” creature in this universe, then our character will not accept other being, morally better than us. But when I am aware about my weaknesses, about unholy and perverse nature of mine, then I am becoming to put the right question about God. Questioning about God is primary a human nature’s issue! That why I think the Biblical teaching is more realistic than humanist’ utopias… And the best argument for God’s existence is the transformed lives of those who believed and followed Christ. The reality of Christ’ resurrection is proved in Christian’s lives!

Considering the “divine hiddeness” and the silence of God of our times as a sign of God’s respect for our free will, I think that eternal condemnation to hell it is not the God’s revenge for those who didn’t believe in Him, but it is an honest recognition of their choice to reject God out of their lives.

They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong. They are free from the burdens common to man; they are not plagued by human ills. Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence. From their callous hearts comes iniquity; the evil conceits of their minds know no limits. They scoff, and speak with malice; in their arrogance they threaten oppression. Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth. Therefore their people turn to them and drink up waters in abundance. They say, “How can God know? Does the Most High have knowledge?” (Ps. 73:4-11)

(…) Surely you place them on slippery ground; you cast them down to ruin. How suddenly are they destroyed, completely swept away by terrors! As a dream when one awakes, so when you arise, O Lord, you will despise them as fantasies (Ps. 73:18-20)
